Richard Yu, chairman of Huawei showed off a large phablet android smartphone in China called the Huawei P10. From the introduction of Samsung Galaxy Note which branded the phablet concept and the enormous success it had, almost all mobile giants have tried to duplicate the success Samsung had with Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2. Huawei seem to have gone one step further by introducing a never unheard of 5.1 inch screen in their new smartphone. It is ironic that just months ago Google and Apple announced 7 inch tablets and both were very successful.
The large 5.1 inch screen on the Huawei P10 has a pretty good 1080p resolution and it does have some good hardware inside.
Other than the extremely large display the Huawei P10 Prezzi has a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor and a 3100 mAh battery. Despite its good hardware specifications it doesn’t impress the users with its battery life as its lasts only 1 day after normal usage. Apart from the battery life it has one more disadvantage i.e it heats frequently on 4G usage.
There is not much information about this super large phone right now but we do know that it is 9.6mm thick and its full HD screen has a 361 ppi density.
There is no information about which version of Android this beast will be running but we do know that this smartphone will be in direct competition to the other large phablets most notably the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.The Note 2 has a similar 5.5-inch screen,1.6 quadcore processor,8MP primary camera and comes with 16 GB of internal storage which can be extended with the help of external memory cards.
The Huawei P10 will be priced at CNY 3,000 which converts to about $480. Do tell us in comments how you feel about this phone.
